1. Bunaken National Park
The Bunaken National Park is a marine park in the north of Sulawesi island, Indonesia. The park is located near the centre of the Coral Triangle, providing habitat to 390 species of coral as well as many fish, mollusc, reptile and marine mammal species. The Park is representative of Indonesian tropical water ecosystems, consisting of seagrass plain, coral reef, and coastal ecosystems.
A very rich coral ecosystem covers most of Bunaken National Park, dominated by fringing reef and barrier reef corals. There are about 390 species of coral recorded in the waters of the Park. A distinct feature is a 25-50 metre vertical coral wall which is inhabited by 13 coral genus. The seaweeds that can be found here include Caulerpa, Halimeda, and Padina species, while the dominant seagrasses, in particular in the islands of Montehage and Nain, are Thalassia hemprichii, Enhallus acoroides, and Thalassodendron ciliatum. The park is also abundant in different species of fish, marine mammals and reptiles, birds, molluscs and mangrove species.
About 90 species of fish live in the waters of the park, among them being the Emperor Angelfish, Almaco Jack, Spotted Seahorse, Bluestripe Snapper, Pinkish Basslet and Two-lined monocle bream. The species of mollusc include the Giant Clam, Horned Helmet Shells, Chambered Nautilus, and ascidians.
2. Siladen Island
Siladen is one of the islands that make up the Bunaken National Park - Manado, North Sulawesi Province. Island which covers only about 31.25 ha is so beautiful white sandy beaches surrounded, overgrown with palm trees, sago, woka, silar, and coconut. Siladen island located east of the island of Bunaken or within 3 miles and 8 miles from the center of the city of Manado and can be reached by boat.
3. Bukit Kasih at Kanonang Village / Kasih Kanonang Hill
Love hill located in District Kawangkoan, Minahasa Regency is the place that symbolizes harmony among religious adherents in North Sulawesi. In this place there are all places of worship religious adherents. To reach this place takes about 90 minutes from Manado.
4. Bukit Doa (Prayer Hill), Tomohon
Bukit Doa (Prayer Hill) presents a natural landscape that is so pleasing to the eye for anyone who comes to this place. Expanse of natural scenery is so green as if feast for the eyes for anyone who comes to this place. Because of its beauty, hills tomohon prayer is often used as a pre-wedding photos. To reach this place takes 30 minutes drive from the provincial capital of Manado North Sulawesi.
5. Linow Lake
Still little is known of the existence of this place, but Linow is one of the interesting sights in North Sulawesi. To go to the lake Linow requires approximately 50 minutes travel time from Manado. Linow and Tomohon Hill Prayer is the place that is managed by the private sector (the same person). What's interesting about this lake is the color of the water of this lake is often discolored.
6. Lihaga Island
Small uninhabited island located in Likupang North Minahasa Regency is one of the very beautiful island with a view of very fine white sand and crystal clear sea water. From Manado takes about 2 hours drive to the nearest port and continue to travel by boat can be hired with a travel time of about 45 minutes.
7. Waruga
In Minahasa, there are some waruga but that a recommendation is waruga Sawangan village, District Airmadidi, North Minahasa regency. Waruga is the tomb of ancient times were made of stone.
8. Lakban Beach
Lakban Beach located in District Ratatotok, Southeast Minahasa Regency. To see the beauty of Lakban Beach you will travel a long (3 hours) from Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi province. But the long journey to reach this place will pay off once you arrive at Lakban Beach. In the place is equipped with several facilities such as a playground for children, folly field and beach soccer field.
9. Mahangetang Underwater Volcano
Mahangetang Underwater Volcano in the waters of the island Mahangetang district. Tatoareng Sangihe. Underwater volcano is still active and there are shallow waters so to see it can be done with a dive. Local communities often refer to this place as "Banua Wuhu".
10. Tangkoko National Park
Tangkoko National Park is located in White Rock North Bitung, North Sulawesi Bitung City. Tangkoko national park is a conservation area which is home to some unique wildlife of North Sulawesi that can not be found in other areas such as the tarsier (the world's smallest primate), black monkey (Macaca niagra) and hornbills. This location is about 60 km from the city of Manado and Bitung 20 Km from the city.
